Heyaaa !
I am back, sorry for being away for sooooo long :D .. i guess i was away fro 6 days?????!!?!? wow it felt like only 2 or 3 .... Days pass by so fast! I can clearly remember how I got to plain and how I just arrived here , but this is my 3 week here now ! :O ...
So basically what happened all these days?
Let me think , last time I wrote a post it was ? last Friday ????? :O .... Dammit that's quite long ago :D
Anyway , there was weekend , that I spent pretty much relaxing and enjoying the silent and empty campus. because all the British people go back to their homes on weekends ( ok almost all) ... Anyway it was nice , cuz I could meet all my friends and I knew most of the people that I met on my way ( opposite normal working day , when u pass hundreds of unknown faces ) ... So then there was , you know , working days .... Finally our studies kinda came to start , I guess, it wasn't simple sitting and making funny projects... We received or first briefing , for our first induction project( ye well I guess everything in first month is induction) .. Then we got like induction to workshop , that was cool , now I can go there and use the machines to make things ( ok not all machines actually only the most simple ones like saws and sandpaper machines( i don't really know the professional names of them , but they are professional , not like hand saws , the big complicated machine robot things :D )
So my first project that we have to make looks like this :
We have to makes this like obelisk thing .. From blue foam , using sandpaper basically ... So that's it that's what I have been doing these 4 days ( working days ) got to know the technologies of my workshop and making this stuff...that's about studies
Then what considers out of school activities , I have been playing football a lot :D , like 3,5 hours yesterday , my legs now are all bruised and hurting :( , but I love it :)
I have been hanging around a lot , just walking in the evening , talking chilling with people , eating :D at McDonalds :D ... ye there is actually a funny story about this particular McDonalds , that I now call our Mac , ok maybe its not funny but just interesting ...
So today I went there and we had cashier , whose name was Jana , and even before I saw that I felt heard that she has a Russian accent so I thought she is not British , then I saw here name and we thought maybe shes Latvian ...Actually when I end my order and gave her my money she said paldies , but I didn't hear that clearly and I want sure ... well after Maija ordered her meal she said Lūdzu and this time more louder , so she really was Latvian .. Yeee..well she knew that we were Latvians well because ewe were speaking Latvian kinda loud at the counter , so she clearly heard us speaking Latvian ... Well that made me realize , how actually hard it is to decide how to tell the other Latvian that you are Latvian , just go straight and say hy i am Latvian ,( then should I do it in Latvian , or English, because if she /he is not Latvian , and I speak to him Latvian , its gonna be awkward cuz he would be like WUUUT? :D ) so ye I came to the conclusion that the best way if you know that someones Latvian , and they don't know that you are , is just say them piedod or lūdzu , like pretending you did that accidentally :D , so you pretend this was just a lucky coincidence of two Latvians meeting :D ... Ok lol , anyway ...I mentioned Maija , well ye she is a girl from Latvia , that I met today , and we spent the evening together .. and I have to say I am so so happy to be able to talk Latvian again at least for some hours in a relaxed mode :) . That just gives me a hole new energy to speak English again :D ... that's why I write the blog English today , although I had decided that I gonna write it in Latvian , cuz I was longing for Latvian ( well I am not anymore ) in a perfect way , I gonna be able to spend at least some of my time speaking Latvian now :D, cuz after that it is easier for your brain to speak in English , honestly , because the brain has had its rest :D ( the brain language center) (ye I know , I like to speak abut my brains as if they were 3rd person or something :D , cu they kinda are , aren't they? I mean do you always know what your brain is doing , and why are you saying the things you are saying , OR why are you seeing things that you are seeing ? ( its all an illusion that you can alter , and make it your-way )....

Ou ye and by the way I know two more Latvian people working in the same Mac restaurant :O .... so if I know already about (3 at Mc , M.+ G.+ 3 kreivi(no LV ) +3 no ģimn(2gadn) + Olga+ 2 meitenes kas mācā inženieriju) tas ir jau 14 latvieši :O ,kas dzīvo šinī mazajā Anglijas pilsētiņa , tikai iedomājieties cik daudz Latviešu ir visā Anglijā :O ... droši vien daudz ! tagad es saprotu par ko ir runa , kad visi runā par izbraucējiem :)
Lol , just wrote something in latvian ,and it changed so naturally that I didn't even notice , me starting to write in latvian...
Ok anyway Today happened another amazing thing .. Well I finally had my FIRST LECTURE, like the real one , like all the students have ,like sitting in auditorium and listening to a lecturer ( ok it wasn't auditorium , but more like old school .. school class ... Anyway , what was UBER coool about it was the Lecturer( teacher ) Professor . ... HE WAS FREAKIN' AWESOME .... well I guess he is a bit mad , but he was so creative and smiling and just it was such a joy listening to him... Well I don't remember all he talked about him but I remember everybody laughing a lot... I remember him making weird sound effects all the time , like , Wou , AUU, Yeyy , Hippiii , Wollaalll , zipidi duuu , zoooommm, poing , dooong , poof , shwoosh and stuff like that , I remember him dancing , laughing while he turned red... telling jokes, smiling all the time , mocking himself ,and other , changing voices to characterize ...
It was just pleasure to sit there for 2.5 hours . And I am very eager to hear the next weeks lecture :)...
Of course it wasn't all fun and jokes and laughs , at the end of all that , he made the point he was trying to say , and he did it with a style :D ... He was basically talking about how we ,people , perceive information , and how important it is to be able to understand what kind of information we are sending and receiving ... And basically how it connects to the course we are doing ... well that's what we have to write about in our account for next week actually :D ... Ou ye and he made an experiment with us, more like there were 2 people sitting facing away from each other , and they each had a desk in front of them , and one of them could only say "repeat please" while the other needed to describe the other , how to build a block tower ,that the professor built in front of him ... So the one person needed to tell the other how to build the exact same tower from the same parts...(they weren't able to see others tower obviously :D ) , the volunteers kept changing and the teacher made the constructions harder every time , and it got of course funnier for all of us to see, how the people struggled to explain where to put the cube that is located somewhere on the desk with no real markers , only the edges of the table ... Anyway , the idea of this ,was to show that no matter how hard the construction was it was possible to build the same constructions without seeing it , if only you get the instructions- the right information... and also , there were a lot of hard nameable weird shapes , and some people just came up with a new names for them new weird location and distance names :D - so in a short amount of time , we created a new language of how to understand how to build the construction correctly... ( needless to say , that most of the times the structures were made pretty identically... .
So anyway it was fun listening , and it was fun working in the workshop , and it was fun socializing , and it was fun playing football ... All in all it IS fun studying what you love and studying in a place you love ( cuz I love England) and studying in a place that you are understood and the teachers are sometimes just as freak as you are :) ( I get called weird here a lot :D and I like that :D ) ...
Ou and btw IT IS FREAKIN' COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!
today it was suddenly very cold like 10C and very very cold wind , so it was shocking after 5 days of 24-28 C ...
So there you have it , lets see what the next few days bring , and I hope it is going to be more fun :) and happiness .....
only homesickness I fell now, is for my language ... all other sorts of homesickness's I just don't let myself near :D , you just don't want to start think about the summer you had or your brother and sisters playing in your room back home , or your mothers made meals ... If you start think about it , you would just end up crying , so I try to evade doing that ...but the language is one thing that's always gonna be in your head messing with the words you wanna say...( ye I know I know , my family and stuff is gonna be in my mind for always as well , but most importantly even if my mind forgets about them , my heart will never forget them, and it will always keep them near !!!!!!)
