Today I thought we are not gonna be doing anything important or long :D , but as it turned out my day started at 10 and ended at 16:20 :O ... Kinda long and exhausting (again :D , I am such a whiner :D )... So ye in the morning we had presentations from out Tutors .. We have 4 tutors and they all made a presentation about what they have done in their lives and what kinda works have they made ... To be honest I thought its gonna be something more ...impressive , but anyway it was interesting ... and all in all that's why they are tutors here in Uni , rather than being famous professionals in Hollywood...
So anyway that was kinda long and stuff , but at the end John (thats our 1st year tutor, I gonna call him simply John , not out of disrespect but because he said that we should call him that ,,and I honestly dont know how to spell or write his surname :D ) btw , he is very cool guy ,like , uber positive :) ... anyway , where was I , ou ye he just showed us all the things we will need to make in this semester , wanna know what? ok here they are : Toy train , our own Hand , Time machine , Faberge egg , some architectural building , some kind of park sculpture ... that's it ... When he showed the pictures I actually felt kinda scared , cu a lot of them were really cool and complicated .... I just hope that when I learn how to use all the machines I am going to be able to do the same...
Anyway after that we went to studio , and we got our second induction project briefing... it was to make a cage or protective shell for an egg, thats gonna be thrown from 1 m , 2 m , 3 m , and 15 m :D .... We had to make it using only straws and rope(string) , so we made again triangles :D , just like with the building ... Or team was kinda hectic this time , and I just made something else , than they , cuz I didnt believe that they knew what are they doing , what turned out to be true (later) and I didnt know how to explain what I was building :D ... I encounter the fact that I lack professional English language ( concerning architecture ,construction n' stuff) .. Anyway when our time was almost ended i finally stepped up and said they should help me do the thing I do ... because of the fact that they really hadnt built anything considerable , apart form just straw triangles , from whom some were tied together , they of course helped , me cuz mine actually looked like cage ... I used the triangles to put them in like prism and then connect the prisms together in huge prism shaped ball , and then put the egg in the middle of it.... ( I know that sounds like I am being cocky and all, but that was just true , i guess I have passion for construction , when they probably are much more skilled in model making :) ... and they just talked that , why in the hell they have to do smth like this :D , I guess thats the attitude that made them not do anything :D ) ok anyway , so ye although we didnt have much time , in the end we made pretty solid construction , it looked like a mess , but I knew what was going on , and why I did what I did :)
Anyway , so he (John) started to throw the eggs around (in their cages ) and some broke some not(our didnt) ... ours survived till the last hight ( which was just trow it till it hist the sealing and comes down crahing against the ground ... Well of course no egg survived that :D ... The last level reached our cage and 2 others .. but none of the team won , cuz all the eggs and cages shattered in the last throw :D
But I guess again success for my construction skill( I start to really doubt if I should have gone to engineering and constructing )
After that hmm.. Ou ye I played football again :) ,for 2-3 h :) that was awesome... Our team won 13:2 :D and I scored 6 goals :) :) , yey ... And even bigger success was that the guys from my team , asked my if I would like to play in their team ... HELL YE ... I would :D :D . So i gave him my number and now I hope he gonna call me (fingers crossed)
After that i played poker with some of the people from the other hall with Jess , Harshil , Deb, Chris , Adam? , and George ( well obviously , every name I am going to mention now , is of someone who is from UK :D , so I am not gonna mention that :D ) Anyway that was fun , and interesting to meet new people ...

Ou BTW , I found a place where I can stream TV-show (and I even payed , silly amount for that ) , but I am still not sure whats the difference between streaming and downloading , cu if u stream you still download it (hmmm)
Ou and another thing , here is like ... NO KIDDING 25 C !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it is sunny as hell ,and hot and lovely - nothing like England :D ...People wear shorts and tops ... and leaves are falling and getting yellow - surreal :D
26-28.09.2011- My course starts- Summer Project ,Spaghetti tower..Football tryouts
Ye , I gonna write this time for the all 3 days together ,rather than making 3 separate posts , cuz I have kinda fallen behind for 2 days :D
This is going to cover a lot of information , you don't have to read it all at one time , split it , come back later , but please read it , its interesting , I promise :D ( ye even the ending( actually the endings are usually the most interesting :D ))
And anyway they were kinda the same... My course finally started ( sorta :D ) , I had plenty of welcome and induction talks ...again .... but at least this time they are a bit more connected to my course so they are not that bad... except today when I had the same speech I had last week :D...
So more importantly -my course started ... It meant basically that , we met all up in our studio ( 3D modelling studio (that's gonna be our home for the next 3 years :) ) ...
so Monday when everyone came , they had with them the summer projects .. i didn't bring mine and was was chilling ,cuz I thought we didn't actually have to bring it on Monday , but on Wednesday ( cuz or schedule said that Wednesday is gonna be for induction projects ( so I thought that those are gonna be the summer projects ( ye I know induction and summer is not the same word :D )))) anyway , of course it was the right day to bring in you summer projects ,and as I found out the induction project was something completely else :D... But ye so I basically sat in my place , when everybody else shyly (or cocky ) took out their project and put them on table... then a bunch of important people( tutors and lecturers ) walked around and took pictures and stuff... but I just sat there miserably and extremely mad at myself .. Of course I asked if I can bring the thing in tomorrow and they said of course you can... but its wont be the same , I knew that ... however ,luckily I wasn't the only one :D , some didn't bring the thing that day or next , or the next .. Of course not me ... after that I straight away went to my room and started a 8 hour long modeling work run to finish my piece and add some details( :D , ye I didn't quite had it ready for the Monday anyway :D ,so even If I knew I would be able to bring it in ( although I was sure I wont need it until Wednesday and so i didn't rush the production of it :D ))) So ye i had to struggle with some thing about how to make it all together , because I had made the letters and I had decided to make the Iron throne...

Actually yesterday( Tuesday ) one of them with camera came , when we were listening a speak about Disability support ... When I saw him approaching my work , with the camera, my heart was pounding hard , I mean I so hopped that he is going to notice and take a picture of it , like he did on Monday of everyone's else work .... :( , but he didn't :( , he instead took a picture of one of the works , just behind mine :D ( so I felt bad) maybe he thought he had taken picture of it on Monday , maybe he didn't notice it , maybe he didn't like it ... OR , maybe he did make a picture of in , some other time that I wasn't around to see :D ( lets hope for the last one) ...

Anyway , ye so I gonna just show what I basically did :
1. First what I wanted to build was this: the Iron Throne from the Epic books :A song of Ice and Fire (aka Games of throne) ...
So I wanted to make it just like they did - using only swords, of course i had to make it from paper swords...

4. ye I guess i left out the part of the making my name which I decided is gonna be O S C A R , just for the convenience :D
So it like a Letter man , he hold C in his right hand and he has S in his stomach and R is his crown and A is his hand that holds the sword ..
So ye there it is , finished piece :) .. I thought a lot about how to arrange the letters and stuff , should they be scattered , or all in the O stomach , or just to the side ... and I could quite test how its gonna look , cuz I only hade a super glue , not skotch :D . Anyway I think I came up with the best solution ...
Well this is just a small picture of how the 'masters' workspace looks after his work is done :D ( ye it actually still looks the same :D , I just don't what to trow so many good paper leftovers away :D )
Sooooo , I took it with me on Tuesday ... As I already predicted no one made any notice of it ( at least as much as I saw ) I talk more about the tutors , though... the other student noticed , and a lot of them said they liked and you know the usual polite stuff :D , still that was at least comforting...

So he gave us 5 packs of spaghetti and a 5 packs of jelly candies ... So we had to make a huge spaghetti tower , that would be at least 2 m high :)
So ye that's what we did for 2 days :) ... We were divided in groups , rather , we divided ourselves in groups ... UI had quite good team :D why good? well they basically allowed me to be in charge :D , and I am the kinda guy who wants sometimes to be allowed to do what I wasn't , especially when it comes down to building stuff :D.... But don't think I was like lets do that and that ... i am never like that ... I achieve what I want in different ways ...that I will not reveal you...(ye cuz maybe I don't know , how I do that , but all I know is that the ending piece of works looks like I wanted it to look :D :D) ... ok just to not sound cocky - Its probably not always a good , thing , cuz I am bad leader , maybe, or more correctly - bad supervisor - I just like to take everything in my own hands and get on with it ... Well this was the later...
At the end of the project we were only two guys left building the thing , ( ye maybe because we were the tallest , or maybe cuz we just really enjoyed it , that seemed not to be the case for some of the other team members ) .... so we did build or thing- tower , and guess what????

So ye but whats my conclusion ? Someday I gonna make a HUGE building of spaghetti , it was so fun , and it was like LEGO , you could just add more and more ... of course the structure is very important, and its essential that you figure out how to drain the weight and pressure :), that I think I got figured out ...
So ye that was fun , and I think I got myself some recognition :) .. I am definitely not the loudest or most talkative person , so I need this kind of recognition :D , cuz I want my work to speak loudest that my 'words' ( that probably suck :D )
Everyone kinda has their own table , and there a like 46 tables together , so the 6 is going to be a group usually , but to be honest , I didn't like my group that much :( ... So I gonna probably try to find myself a better place... I just want to sit with people that just enjoy spending time doing , for example , this kinda stuff , or just any that is asked of them :D ( only 1 guy was like really enthusiastic , like I , and we even discussed the possibility to really make something big somewhere else :D )
Ok so wrap up about my course:

Actually there are no style freaks :D ( I saw one , though, walking around campus , but I don't want to be judgmental , but that was really creepy ( not gonna describe the picture to you :D , you don't need to know this exists :D )
So my course basically takes place in the same studio and 2 workshops for the 3 years...
I have only one lecture every week in like a auditorium ( that's something called C & CS - critical & cultural studies) ... So what that means is that I DONT have any exams , only 1 essay each semester about the C&CS studies and just my project works :)

Today I went to cinema :) :) :) , and that was cool , I liked it the , teather was really nice , cuz the seats were comfortable and the quality of the screen was SUPERB :) ans was the sound quality ...

So ye that was actually the firs official time I have been to cinema in England listening to movies in their official language with no subtitles :D ...It felt good , I am going to visit the cinema very often I think :D, to boot , they show all the newest movies :)
So ye what did I see? Well I and Deb( I guess we are bonding kinda well , shes a nice girl and everything :D...) went to see the Crazy,Stupid,Love with Steve Carell and Emma Stone and Kevin Bacon ,and Ryan Gosling ( hes the new hit actor I guess, hes in every movie) ...
So the movie was good actually, it was OK almoust trought all the movie when suddenly at the second part of the movie it just went CRAZY :D ... IT basically really was CRAZY, sometimes the thing the carathers did was stupid , but most of all it was about love ... So nice movie , Steve Carell good as always , Emma stone was good as well ( I doubted that before :D ) ... Actually the movie was completely unpredictable , which is kinda rare for the movies nowdays ... So I recommend everyone to see it ( more because you damned people can see it for only 2 Ls , but I had to buy the ticket for 6,50 Ls :( ) so go and see good movies !
Ok so that's gonna be enough for the 3 days :D ...
Ou one last thing : the Football couch pasūtija mani trīs mājas tālāk ( showed me the doors , I guess could be the equivalent of that saying (sorta) ) , he kept saying me ,that the level of football I am looking for is different that Uni standards ,so I should go and talk with that guy in the other side of the hall :D .... Well of course I tried to say to him that I am good n' stuff, I even told him that I am school league champion :D :D , he was ,like , where? I was like in Latvia ... m....h.... he was like I have no Idea where that is :D (he didn't actually say that ,though, but there are times when you can just see that in people faces :D ... Ok , it wasn't that bad in the end , the place where he sent me (and a lot other guys) was just a guy saying that they form teams that play against Uni teams ,instead of playing against another Uni's teams , and if u are really good in those games , you can get picked up for the Uni team... That actually sounds even better, that going straight to the Uni team :) , cuz there is no pressure straight away in the tryouts ... ye so now I just gonna wait till some more information show up on their facebook page ... Ye another thing , when some of the people signed , they were 1.British , 2.second years and 3.most of them had played in some cool club ( I suppose , at least the names of them sounded professional :D )
Anyway besides that I signed up for athletics and track :D , I mean why not ... for 100m sprint ... Dunno lets see if they gonna want to see how I sprint :D , I dint have professional track shoes , though, :D ...

Speking in English , why is it so tiring???
hy , sorry for being away these last couple of days . I have been very busy and very exhausted every day I came back to my room ,so I just went to sleep , I honestly didn't have the power to write something ( Actually maybe I had ,but I definitely didn't have any time :D , I needed my sleep , desperately and writing blog takes a lot of time :) )
You cant imagine how hard it is to suddenly start to wake up every morning at 9 and starting some kind of routine after 4 months of slacking :D ... And the language , to boot. You know the one thing that's makes you feel homesick is actually language ( sorry everything else ) at least all the other thing I know I gonna see and stuff , and thats just life , but when it comes to language , you just want to chill out and speak your mother thongue for a moment , without thinking wheter I gonna say it right or correctly , and constantly stressing about whether they gonna understand you , do you spell thing correctly - that is really exhausting ... i actually start to notice that I sometimes suddenly answer in my own language :D , jsut cuz I am just to it ...
I have also noticed , that if I think more about what I am going to tell and how it is going to sound and stuff ,will it be correct... I mess everything up much more , than when I just trust my instinct ( that I believe has been built up in me the last 9 years of English studies in school) , cuz when I talk freely , I sound much more natural and even correct... Thats actually a learning for everyone... You have to feel the language , not know it .. kinda... Cuz we all know how to speak and what is the correct way , we all have seen people speak in English probably millions of times ( in movies , shows ans so on) , So all we need to do is shut down our own language that wants to control the text we are going to tell , and let the memory of those who speak in English control your English speaking flow :)
To speak fluently its important to not think about the things you gonna say in your own language , but think about it in English (in my case , but I believe that applies for any language :) )
We all are used to speaking to our selves in English and we then we are all pros , like , you can feel and sometimes fell kinda surprised , how I know all those words and stuff, but when you have to do the presentation , you start to stammer and forget words , that you know you should know , so why it is that way ? Actually movie : The Kings Speech , kinda explains it .. try putting in earphones while speaking English , and you gonna see how fluently you can speak ... Ye that's cool and that is true ....
BUT why did I start to talk about it ? Well I have noticed that in pubs and clubs , when there is really loud noise , I speak English much better than , when everybody stands around me and its completely silent :D , then I usually forget what I wanted to say :D ... So now I am really practicing to turn of my hearing when I speak , cuz even if u dont hear yourself , you still know what are you saying , and I know that I am saying the things I wanted , and the words fall in place much better than when I hear myself ... Ye , So that's because when I hear myself , my mind immediately analyses what I had just said ,and gets in the middle of the things I wanted to say next :D ... So it is like my mind works at two things in two languages at the same time - so that obviously exhausts people and makes him more tired ... So I gonna keep practicing to just speak my mind trusting it knows the right words and order n' stuff :D , cuz it does ! ( I am not able to speak like this (like the way I write) , only when I am completely sleep deprived or sound deaf :D .
I hope you red that .. It could actually be useful ( for those to whom the English (for example) is their second language ... And if you have experienced the same share your thoughts and experience in the comments please!
P.S. just keep in mind that I have to speak in English 24/7 not like only for the learning time , like some of you are( those who learn at the Stockholm School of Economics , I bet it is hard for you too , but you at least can go home and spend some time speaking in your native language ... I don't really have that chance ... Ye i use skype and mobile but still its only like maximum 30 minutes ... So ye that's the part where the homesickness creep in :(

So now I am really practicing to turn of my hearing when I speak , cuz even if u dont hear yourself , you still know what are you saying , and I know that I am saying the things I wanted , and the words fall in place much better than when I hear myself ... Ye , So that's because when I hear myself , my mind immediately analyses what I had just said ,and gets in the middle of the things I wanted to say next :D ... So it is like my mind works at two things in two languages at the same time - so that obviously exhausts people and makes him more tired ... So I gonna keep practicing to just speak my mind trusting it knows the right words and order n' stuff :D , cuz it does ! ( I am not able to speak like this (like the way I write) , only when I am completely sleep deprived or sound deaf :D .
I hope you red that .. It could actually be useful ( for those to whom the English (for example) is their second language ... And if you have experienced the same share your thoughts and experience in the comments please!
P.S. just keep in mind that I have to speak in English 24/7 not like only for the learning time , like some of you are( those who learn at the Stockholm School of Economics , I bet it is hard for you too , but you at least can go home and spend some time speaking in your native language ... I don't really have that chance ... Ye i use skype and mobile but still its only like maximum 30 minutes ... So ye that's the part where the homesickness creep in :(

This day basically was given to Games Day ... I think I am not gonna post any pictures here but just redirect you to my facebook page where I gonna make a gallery of the picture from Games Day+ some comments about the picture ... Ok I gonna post here just some :)
So the excitement actually started on Saturday when I had to call and book taxi for morning... You may think thats not a big deal .BUT it is . It was my first time in life when I had to speak English on phone !!! I was pretty nervous , I dont know why, or I do , I just thought that speaking on phone in English is going to be a lot more different , that its gonna be hard to understand and you know no expressions to understand what type of sentence does the speaker uses ... Anyway I felt kinda scared , but then I just found a number and called... ( of course I had written down all of my lines , and possible answers :D ) anyway , so I called and the first taxi firm was all booked up for the morning , that was sad , but the other didnt ask any questions(only the basics , what when where) or assurance ,just said that all's done :) ... Wow that was easy :) , ye there is no actual difference in speaking English on phone or in personal , maybe on phone it is even a bit easier ! :) really ,cuz you dont see the other person and you dont know , him so you dont have to worry about stuff (you know looks and misspelling and stuff :D )
Anyway after that I pretty much went to bed, but didnt get a lot of sleep ,cuz people where partying everywhere and making a lot of noise ... However I had my alarm on 4:15 and I woke up straight away...(cuz probably I was kinda excited and didnt want to screw the Taxi driver :D ) , so I ate something I think and then run off to meet the taxi , that came a bit early , on 4:50 and then we went to St.Albans... Of course Had the basic usual chat with the driver. and then in about 5:10 I was in St.Albans , ye well , I had to be there on 5:30 :D , anyways , the city was kinda dead , no living sole ( ok another guy going to the Games day , but we will not count him ) It was interesting and cool I have always wanted to see empty city . The day before we were in St.albans market and it was packed with people shouting , buying , selling , and stuff, and musicans playing , and now the same place was completely empty , actually I may have a picture ...
These are the market streets and as you can see they are EMPTY :D
Well this is not a Marks&Spencer advertisement , but draw your attention to the clock :O ,ye really 5:10 ... Its probably ,the first time ....in my life.... when I have been ....hmm ...up so early ....in other country.. ( cuz come to think of it I have walked around Riga in 5 am quite a lot ( nooot , not a lot , but some 10 times for sure :) )
OK so , when I didn my 28 days latter walk around the city , I went to the shop , and of course the sellers weren't there yet but there were about 6 people already :D ...( man those people are eager)... Anyway we waited for about 10 mintes , when it was 5:30 they arrived and let us into the shop... there we spent next 40 minutes , basically standing and looking into the wall( I did that not the other ) , ok , not really I actually talked with one guy that I saw was also a student in Herts , and he is doing astrophysics ( I guess you can lear absolutely anything here) ,so ye the other time I just spent trying not to fall asleep , and listening to British Nerds :D ( ye I am one of them - Nerds , but not British :O ) it was actually kinda funny , I have to admit , that after spending all day with real british people( guys) , they are pretty funny and they are nice and open people :) , at least those Brits that still plays with models ( ye me too I know) ... anyway so the bus cam at dunno maybe 6;30 or something and then we set off...
Only thing I remember form the trip was , that at the start there was a huge thick fog around everything , and it looked so crazy fairytale like ... like the big trees were all in mist ( that gave the feeling of some kinda Sherlock Holmes story) and the road was in deep mist , so that the cars were suddenly swimming out of it ...
They were showing one movie on the bus ,its called Ultramarines , and it was very laud , but still somehow I fell asleep , cuz when i woke up , the movie had ended and it was bright outside ....
Then we stopped for a we-wee and stuff ( thats what they said) ... And then it was only about 20 minutes and we were at Birmingham .... It was 9:05 ... The event started at 10:00 , at that time already began to feel suspicious :D ... So we went in.. ou before that we all toke a picture of St.Albans hobbyists ( ye I gues I am one of them now :) ,yee) with a huge Droppod in a background( dont ask me I have no Idea what that is :D , but It looked like some kinda time machine , or just very up-to-date toilet :D ) anyways we went in and alined into queue ,ye and of course as I suspected we had to jsut stand in queue for almost 30 minutes-pretty exhausting :

Hmm , ye every Hobby shop has their own flag , so ye if u think what the hell is those thing on the poles ...
Thats the flag of St.Albans Games Workshop . the blue with the cross , is actually St.Albans official flag ...
Other people were just reading a book... Well this guy was actually in some kind of soldier outfit ?! with like a self made spear-saw-laser beam -weapon , and with a gun made out of cardboard :)
So then we finnaly got into the excibition room , and ye... Then I just walked around , and around ,and around , and ou take a picture , and around , ou I have seen this already ...around ... Uuuu I should take a picture of this ..... around ... and ye that was basically it :D
There were a lot of hobby people form the studio and design and stuff, but I dindt go to anyone to ask anything , I just didnt have anything on my mind , that I would have liked to ask ... to boot, I didnt know any of those people :D , that other guys were coming to and asking for their signatures ... I just havent been that into the hobby. but I guess thats because we have only one shop :D , and I dont actually read any White Dwarf magazine , only buy it and watch trough ... Ok so I took a lot of pictures of the contestants( the entries , not the people who brought the models :) ) , but those I wount post here their are just too many .. ok only one to show what was it all about ( not really , it was all about a big Demon Slayer Sword ,that is the main prize you can win , if your minis are the best ...)
anyway so here is an example of duel that actually won second (bronze Deamon) award :
So , ye then I found out about one competition that everyone who wants can participate in ... So I did it too .. it was a conversation competition . The rules were : they gave you a lot of pieces and details and you had to make a mage in 20 minutes , and whoever makes the best gets a cool award ... Anyway , so I entered , but I had a bad spot - nothing was actually left of the details , everything useful as already used in the round taking place , before mine...Anyway , i still made something and I have a picture of it just here :
Nothing special for the mage , basically the normal parts , but I like how I made the scene though.. Somewhere in the first five minutes of the time , my mind came up with this some kind of menthal mage , that can control other people (the poor guys that keep the mage up in the air ) and the mage can do some kinda sonic attack :D , just that he makes the poor lad go crazy and scream in pain and hold hes head ... ( ok I hope you dont think I am completely nuts now :D , just a quick story about the scene, I dont know why the mage does that , though ...hmmm...)
Anyway, I didnt win of course , cuz there were a lot of pieces made that was huge , and stood out from the more than 600 entrants :D . Although I actually didnt see the winning mage :( ...
Ok so After that I jus walked around, and around , and around... Listened to soome poeple talking with the studio guys and , you know just observing :)
Funny, though , that I actually met a latvian guy at one of the cafes . he worked at the register and when I gave him my credit card , he recognized it and started to speak Latvian ... well that was unexpected :D ...
Well then I ate my breakfast and just sat in the auditorium :
This is just the first hall , there were 2 more , that was just as big but much more packed, cuz the other two where gaming and shopping hall :D , and people bought stuff as crazy(although the prizes were the same, I guess thats could be a thing to research for psychologists - why do people buy stuff in big events , but dont spend money on daily basis ...?)
So ye at 3 and up there was the award ceremony , in which all the winners were awarded with the Golden Demon ( I really hate the prize (how it looks and its name , its just so stupid :D )) ... Anyway there was this guy , don't rememebr his name , but he won 5 GD ,and of course he got the Slayer Sword as well ... Well that seems rather unfair :D ...
Anyway ,that was the ending and then we went home ! :)
It was a long trip that I spent mostly listening and laughing ,and sleeping as well , cuz I don't remember how it got dark :D ..
It was almoust 8 when we were back at St.Albans, and because it was Sunday and late , no Buses were going to Hatfield so I and the guy form Uni split the taxi ...BTW hes name was Dave :)
So there I was back at home .... I think I did something more that day(ou it was yesterday ) ye write , I met up with Deb and Harshil and another girl called Jess ( i believe) from England of course ( cuz everyone knew now is from UK ) so we wen to McDonalds and just chatted and chilled ....
I was actually kinda sleep-deprived drunk :D , I was in a state when I just didn care what happens , I was like ye lets go party and stuff, and I actually felt good , like rally good , :D I guess when you get over the phase of 'I really need to sleep ' and "my eyes are closing" ye feel kinda great :D ...
Anyway we didnt go anywhere , though, cuz from now on ,everything is going to be for a price , and the tickets are like 7 pounds :( ....
Anyway , so to sum up ... I really really really really regret that I didn't take any of my models with me ... cuz the competition is open for everyone... And It would just be nice to see your model in the display , and that thousands of people just goes by it :) ... ye , but that didn't happen ... so it will , definitely next year ... I promise I gonna bring a prize back home :) . for sure ! :D
So I got a lot of inspiration, and a lot of resources about the level of skills and stuff.. But it wasn't fun though , cuz I was all alone , for most of the time , and it was really hard to start a conversation , cuz all the people talked about was hobby stuff , but I barely know anything that's not related to painting ...:D

I am glad you are back :) , so see what I have been up to...
Well today was Saturday - holiday (kinda) , well and btw , ye I have been here for 7 days now ... It still doesn't fell like I am away here for 3 more months :) ... I and I don't feel homesick , YET .... I am feeling like I am on vocation actually :D ...
Ok , actually I am not gonna write a lot today , cuz its kinda late and I have to get up
tomorrow on 4:15 AM... Why? well I show you :
Ye , well , I am going to Games Day . I am sure that to most of you that doesn't mean a thing , but like form me , its the biggest Hobby event of the year .Its gonna be my second time there, I actually went there I think almost 5 years ago , with my friend Jacob. We where in England for about 3 days , and ye , wow those are sweet memories .. It was 5 years ago , but I remember it as it was yesterday ... I even made a video clip about our trip ( sorta ) i think you can see it here http://dra.lv/gZZn , actually I am kinda ashamed of it but anyway I was 14 years old :D , although I could have done better :D...
Anyway , so I am going to Birmingham with a coach from St.Albans, and I have to be there at 5:30 .. I booked a taxi ,because no buses are going that early in Sunday morning ...
So I think I am going to be back tomorrow night , with some photo report about the event , and I gonna tell you how was today also... Or i can tell that in few words right now ... although knowing myself, If i start writing I cant stop :D ...
Still I gonna try ... So today was AMAZING , we were in St.Albans and it was great , I just find the city so full of inspiration ,and it is incredibly picturesque ... And it was amazing cuz , it was Saturday , and we went to the park , and it was full with families , like, fathers playing football with their kids and moms playing with their daughters ... It was just very beautiful , and nostalgic, cuz It made me remember my childhood and how we spent our time as children ... It was sweet...
I finally bought top-up for my phone( that's basically the same as kredīts in our country :D ) so I have a new phone number.....
Dammit there's so many things we did today :D ... we went to the church again , and I felt the same amusement as before ... and ye , It was a lot of fun . Cari was really funny all day long :D , she was just making us laugh all the time , and that was great ...
Ok but I need to go get some sleep :D ... I gonna be back and maybe add something to this post ...
BTW , it IS Saturday so the locals(British students) are going to party all night long :( and they are already walking around shouting screaming and wistling and stuff :( , I just hope I can get some sleep ... Maybe I should go to bed with my earphones , that maybe solved the noise problem :) ..

23.09.11- A mishap
OMG this was a very messed up day ... But also so mixed up :D , it was full with ups and downs .. And the bigger the Up was the bigger the down was :D...
So first off , The Ups :)
The biggest up toady ,was obviously the sports day . I spend 3 h playing football - what can be better? ( ok a lot of things , but that's a story for some other day :D )
so that was like a big happy fun thing , and the other todays days up was the Disco night , actually the DISCO night itself was a huge DOwn , but the social part of it was uP...
So there were two big ups and two big downs :D , The first not so big but still I felt kinda sad about it. While I was playing football there were a lot of other things happening today , well that's actually why the both downs happened :( , because of the football ...
So lets get down to the business , shall we?
SO while I played football I missed the information fair, and I missed the tour around the Sports village , it may seem not a big lose , but still , I should just have woken up a bit earlier and came to the tour and go rapidly through the information fair , and then still play football for 2 &1/2 h ....
So that was one thing, but the other was like huge down :(... but it needs like and introduction so here it goes :
I ended playing football at 15:00 , because that was when the sports day ended .. I was there with Hisham ... We both went home , cuz we were exhausted and hungry and thirsty and all :D , so without thinking I went to the bus and drove home .... When I got home right away I had a chat with my mom and dad , and it took a a wail, after that i watched the season premier for The Office , and only after that I remembered what I was supposed to be doing today... I was supposed to be .. already at that moment I was freaking out ,like throwing stuff and cursing ... The first thing what I did was I found this page , ye and if you fallowed the time , then this pretty much says it all :
I don't think I need to explain .. Or do I? Ok , so basically you see the big text in the box and you get the idea . The math is simple I am sitting in my room , its about 16:50 and I have been in my room from 15:20 ... So where is the time I spend doing the language test ? Nowhere :( . I didn't I missed it , I forgot about it , I am stuuuuupid :D , like how in the hell I could forget about it , when there was a huge paper on my desk (show in the picture) ... I have no Idea , no actually I have , and I explained what happened(before the picture) I was so involved in the sports day , that I just forgot about it....
It was actually the first day that I didn't just stand in my room and make (in my mind) a list of events I have to attend today( i was doing that every day) so the one day I didn't do that , I forgot about the things I really needed to do :(..

So I rush down , run to the other side of the building, and rush into his room .. I tell him everything ... As it turns out , he didn't have to attend the test ?!?! like what?? you can see clearly in the paper I posted : it says : its mandatory for ALL international students... so I am like ok , whatever I guess maybe it is only for the Students of Creative Arts school , but then what the hell? why are we so lucky... Ok so I leave Hisham in his room chatting with his cousin and run back to my room . There is Deb online ,so I ask her does she went to the test.. And no she didn't. I guess I was so freaked out that I made her freak out also :D , sorry for that,.. So ye she also didn't have to do it cuz she didn't have the test on her timetable as well , so those are already two other different schools that didn't need the test ... I send a message to her that I gonna go to the students center and run down , then I run back up(I am living in the 3rd floor) ,cu I forgot the documents , I thought maybe I am going to need them, so then I threw a quick glimpse in the computer, and saw that Deb was replying that shes gonna go also , just to check ... So I wrote that we should meet outside, but Facebook has the stupid thing that when you push the enter it doesn't post the comment but just ,you know ,sends you to the next line :D... so I didn't post it but just made a new line , although I thought that I had sent it ... So I run down for my 5th time , I went to meet here at her hall, but she wasn't there , so I thought maybe shes already gone out somewhere ,and waiting me somewhere else or something... So I ran back to my room :D , and found out that I hadn't posted the comment and she had been writing stuff like : where did u go , why did u leave and stuff, so I finally posted the message that I am going to wait her down at her hall entry ,.... I waited for 2 min for her respond , but she didn't reply , so I thought maybe she has gone outside already, So I just run out again for my seventh time :D ,...
Of course she wasn't there , I wanted to wait here , but every minute I spend my time , could have meant that I miss the working hours of the students help service ,or students office working hours.... So I thought about running back to my room to check if she hasn't written anything back to me... No this time I didn't run back .. not for the 8th time :D .... I remembered which window was hers and just called for her . luckily she heard me ... LOL I had been so hectic , if I had just waited in my room the first time around , I should probably not have had to run around that much :D another fail for me ... Anyway finally we went to the see if the student office is still open ... No it wasn't .... is the Creative arts school open ? no it wasn't ... Is other houses open ? no they aren't :( ... Its a Friday -everything is closed and everybody is back at homes already... :( ... so that settles it. I am not gonna fix this today... I thought maybe I should go to the De Havilland campus ( the other one , the one where the test took place) cuz maybe there is still someone I could talk to ... But luckily Deb's brain were working better than mine, so she just said that I should write emails to somebody, cuz if everything is closed here ,its gonna be the same there... thats true , and I remembered that the Paul guy( you can see that the poster ,has a name Paul's Newsletter) gave as u email ,so we can connect him whenever we need help . So ye we went back and I wrote the email, it was already something past 6 , so a very little chance of getting a reply form him today...
So after all that , I finally decided to make the damn lunch :D , cuz I hadn't had one , from the very morning , when I ate some bred and... I guess that was it ? .. i don't remember.. ou no I ate a sandwich , right... So anyway , I made myself a meal , and after that I felt a bit better, full belly always make you feel better... And my dad called me , and I told him everything ,and he comforted me, so that of course made me feel better as well...

Before I even got ready , Harshil called me from outside my window , and called me out ( ye that sounds kinda old school- I mean , calling people at their window... But that's because I still don't have a phone number :D , gonna need to get one... )
So I got ready really quickly( actually not really cuz I could find my keys :D ( my room is kinda chaotic- paper and stuff everywhere :D ) , so after that I went out and met them ... but as it turned out they werent calling me to go to the Disco , but just to hang around. I said that we should go though , and they agreed and then I needed to go back and get my ID card , cuz I remembered that you can get into the events only with the ID card, but when I got back , I couldn't find my hall hey , and I was unable to get inside :D , dammit not that now... Luckily though I met Hisham just outside the hall ,and he let me in ... So I ran back up ( which time was it 10th already ? - lol ) anyway I searched for my Id card like for ever ,and for my Hall key even longer forever :D , while I searched I glimpsed that Deb and Harshil are already waiting for me outside, and I didn't want them to wait for me long , so i just threw everything upside down and finally found it ... Lol but then when I got down again , there was Hisham waiting form me and he was trying to get me to go to the kitchen at the first floor cuz there was some kind of party there , but I said I had to go meet Harshil , but he insisted I come to have some drink and stuff :D :D , finally , I explained normally that I need to go , ( because before that I was just messing up words and trying to catch my breath .) Anyway so I went outside and met them and we went to the forum , on our way I met Tomas , the guy that's doing VFX , I knew that he at least had to do the test . so I asked him about that ... and he told me that somebody had actually said that those who missed it will be able to do the test again next Friday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well that's a relief :) :), so that stopped my hart for pounding for some time , till I wen into the club , where the music was so loud and the beat so strong it just made your insides pound in the beat as well :D
So ye, at the forum I met Cari ,Jake , Jamie ,Nathan , Rocky and others. We spent the time basically talking , cuz no one was very fond of the music they played ( it definitely wasn't DISCO music , just some club DJ , mixing stuff :D, and it was to loud for speaking :D) anyway , some of us went dancing , and after some time I and Deb and Harshil went away , cuz it was getting too crowded....
It was like the first day that the forum was open for everyone from the area not only students , so there were a lot of drunk people , and quite a bit British people , There were one girl who was from Hatfield called Natasha , and she was Asian ( ye sounds weird right ? for those Latvian people - Asian girl with Russian name born and living in England :D ) anyway she was saying that the next week is going to be crazy ,cuz all the local (UK ) student gonna be back and they are going to party all the time , and drink very very very much( that's what she said) and also that even today there's going be a lot of drunk people after an hour or so ...
Yee we just decided to leave :D , not my place... I kinda tried to fit in the pub culture , but I really cant see myself fitting there , that's just not me ..
Anyway we and Harshil wanted to play some pool , so we went to the ELE house( another bar) but with a thousand time better music ,and only not so many people. Ye so we just played pool for some time , and then went back home ... We saw 2 rabbits again :) , gonna have to take pictures of them someday...
Ok , so that's about it :D ... Ou today when I was playing football , one guy came to my and he said that he remembers me from the Games night , lol , and that he remembers me doing the belly dancing thing :D :D :D ,lol ... and ye I made some new friend on the football pitch , and that was nice as well...Of course one time asking their names is not gonna be enough :D , I still gonna need 2or 3 time to remember their names..
I found out that Deb has never been drinking (alcohol) , and that is kinda cool , I am not the only one , or I don't know If I can say anymore that I haven't been drinking in my life ... that makes me feel mad about myself and really regret that last week I did some drinking, cuz ye I wanted to be the guy who has never been drinking in his life also :( .... So good job Deb , keep it up! ...
But still (now I'm gonna try to encourage myself :D) I am still the guy who has never been drunk :) , cuz I haven't , I have been drinking some beers , but I have never been drunk ( like I haven't started to act weird or sway or something, or seeing double :D ) I have always stayed relatively sober :) .. So I am going to stay with that :) ... However that is not like the goal I am trying to achieve , I have chosen not to drink just because I don't like the taste of alcohol and I am not the type of guy who becomes suddenly very open and talkative when he is drinking , more like opposite ( or maybe I just haven't been drinking enough :D ) anyway drinking is not me .
I know what makes me feel happy and when I have fun, I should just stick to that :)
If there's one thing you can learn, when you are suddenly leaving your home , family and friends, and going to another country , its that you can find out who you really are !

The biggest up toady ,was obviously the sports day . I spend 3 h playing football - what can be better? ( ok a lot of things , but that's a story for some other day :D )
so that was like a big happy fun thing , and the other todays days up was the Disco night , actually the DISCO night itself was a huge DOwn , but the social part of it was uP...
So there were two big ups and two big downs :D , The first not so big but still I felt kinda sad about it. While I was playing football there were a lot of other things happening today , well that's actually why the both downs happened :( , because of the football ...

SO while I played football I missed the information fair, and I missed the tour around the Sports village , it may seem not a big lose , but still , I should just have woken up a bit earlier and came to the tour and go rapidly through the information fair , and then still play football for 2 &1/2 h ....

Ye , So I went to the movie night. It was already started but I still wanted to see what kind of movies they are showing. They were sowing 6 movies . 3 at 6:30 and another 3 at 9 . When I got there they were showing The Fighter , you know the movie that brought Christian Bale his first Academy Award. So I went in and started to watching... I didn't felt like watching though , I don't like to watch movies from the middle :D. And then I saw people going out of the room , and I thought I recognized their shapes in the dark :) , so I went out also , as much as I wanted to see the movie , these kind of movies you have to see from the beginning . So ye I had guessed the people , they where Harshil, Deb , Jaclyn , Cyril ( ye I got those names right ,finally :) ) , I didnt get why they left, but we decided to just have a walk .. and I said I want to buy something to drink , so we went to the Forum , but everything was closed there, so we decided to walk to the Galeria , and get something to drink there... So we visited McDonalds :D , I had an Ice-cream :D . ...
So then we came back to the film night , cuz they were showing Fast and Furious 5 :D , and Harshil wanted to see it , me to actually ( kinda , I remembered it being better , though) Anyway , we got back at about 9:10 :D ( ye again missed ) and went to see the F&F5 , but ye , we entered when it was like the stupidest part in the movie , so I decided I am not going to be able to see the movie again :D ... I was like sleepy and tired , and my head still hurt a little, so I just would not be able to keep my attention to this movie... So I and Deb went out, cuz she wasn't interested in that movie as well ... BTW Cyril left as earlier , cuz he was feeling sleepy :D , he seems nice guy , but he doesn't speak a lot , maybe that's because hes kinda shy I guess , and its really hard to understand his English , cuz he has a big French accent , maybe that's why doesn't speak a lot , or maybe hes just chatting with his girlfriend all the time trough his mobile phone :D. ..
Anyway back to the film night... So I and Deb went out , and wanted to see one of the other two movies, one was Just go with it ( comedy with Adam Sandler & Jenifer Anniston) , the other was Monster , movie that I had never heard about, and acters , well , never heard about them either . I thought that the later would actually be more fun , cuz it looked like some comedy type of mosters&jungle type of movie... Or my second thought was that it actually looked a bit like District 9 , It had to be one of those two options... ( I had those thoughts only by looking to the poster :D ) Anyway , I said I'd prefer the Monsters , and Deb agreed, so we went to that one. There were like 4 people in the auditorium that watched the movie :D , so probably not a very popular or well known movie. Anyway something in me said that I should stay and watch.. So we did ....
Sadly we had already missed the first 10 minutes or so but anyway , from the very first glimpses , I understood that this is going to be the District 9 type of movie ... So ye we watched it. Somewhere in between another of my 'friends' joined us the Rocky guy :D , the one who is doing Music & Technologies ...
I am not going to tell what happens in the movie , just that you should see it , if u like Sci Fi , but not like the stupid moster sci fi , but if you like the serious type and the more kinda artistic type...
It was actually made by some British Director Garreth Edward, it was his debut in directing , and the film had only 500'000 in its budget :O ... I have to admit , that I felt this movie like I have rarely felt others that have their budget around several millions .. It just was the atmosphere type of movie. So ye it was great and you all should see it :D ,It had a great sound and music to boot . And very good VFX cuz the director was actually a VFX supervisor to the movie as well.... so just Google it up :) . DebI guess kinda liked it , but she was confused about the ending , which was actually weird , but I am not gonna spoiler here :D , on the other hand I like when movies end like that ( ok spoiler- when they end suddenly , when you think there must have been something more happening, but they just cut it off)
But as I red today , the movie was actually starting with a scene that was actually an end of the last scene on the end :D, but as we didn't see the beginning , I guess we didn't see the end either :D
So after that we walked back , and on our way in the campus , right next to the road , we spotted a rabbit !!! Really nice ,cute ,brown rabbit :D , for real . And then there was another one :) , that was cute , they weren't afraid or anything , of course when we tried to get closer they run away , but that was fun ... Deb said she had actually seen some signs around the campus that says : there are rabbits living here :) ... Of course they are not living on the campus ,but there is something like a small reservoir , like a forest , so they probably are living there :D ... Ou and when we went further there was another bunny right next to the basketball pitch :).
I don't know how Brits do it , but they have managed to keep the nature quite unharmed here . Like, there are a lot of birds around here , singing beautifully , and there are obviously rabbits , and a lot of squirrels - I suppose that means something , like that the air is kinda clean , and there aren't too much dangerous waste in the forests and no like garbage laying around . Cheers to that !
So I believe that's about it.... After that I just fell into deep sleep ... yey :)
So then we came back to the film night , cuz they were showing Fast and Furious 5 :D , and Harshil wanted to see it , me to actually ( kinda , I remembered it being better , though) Anyway , we got back at about 9:10 :D ( ye again missed ) and went to see the F&F5 , but ye , we entered when it was like the stupidest part in the movie , so I decided I am not going to be able to see the movie again :D ... I was like sleepy and tired , and my head still hurt a little, so I just would not be able to keep my attention to this movie... So I and Deb went out, cuz she wasn't interested in that movie as well ... BTW Cyril left as earlier , cuz he was feeling sleepy :D , he seems nice guy , but he doesn't speak a lot , maybe that's because hes kinda shy I guess , and its really hard to understand his English , cuz he has a big French accent , maybe that's why doesn't speak a lot , or maybe hes just chatting with his girlfriend all the time trough his mobile phone :D. ..
Anyway back to the film night... So I and Deb went out , and wanted to see one of the other two movies, one was Just go with it ( comedy with Adam Sandler & Jenifer Anniston) , the other was Monster , movie that I had never heard about, and acters , well , never heard about them either . I thought that the later would actually be more fun , cuz it looked like some comedy type of mosters&jungle type of movie... Or my second thought was that it actually looked a bit like District 9 , It had to be one of those two options... ( I had those thoughts only by looking to the poster :D ) Anyway , I said I'd prefer the Monsters , and Deb agreed, so we went to that one. There were like 4 people in the auditorium that watched the movie :D , so probably not a very popular or well known movie. Anyway something in me said that I should stay and watch.. So we did ....
Sadly we had already missed the first 10 minutes or so but anyway , from the very first glimpses , I understood that this is going to be the District 9 type of movie ... So ye we watched it. Somewhere in between another of my 'friends' joined us the Rocky guy :D , the one who is doing Music & Technologies ...
I am not going to tell what happens in the movie , just that you should see it , if u like Sci Fi , but not like the stupid moster sci fi , but if you like the serious type and the more kinda artistic type...
It was actually made by some British Director Garreth Edward, it was his debut in directing , and the film had only 500'000 in its budget :O ... I have to admit , that I felt this movie like I have rarely felt others that have their budget around several millions .. It just was the atmosphere type of movie. So ye it was great and you all should see it :D ,It had a great sound and music to boot . And very good VFX cuz the director was actually a VFX supervisor to the movie as well.... so just Google it up :) . DebI guess kinda liked it , but she was confused about the ending , which was actually weird , but I am not gonna spoiler here :D , on the other hand I like when movies end like that ( ok spoiler- when they end suddenly , when you think there must have been something more happening, but they just cut it off)
But as I red today , the movie was actually starting with a scene that was actually an end of the last scene on the end :D, but as we didn't see the beginning , I guess we didn't see the end either :D
So after that we walked back , and on our way in the campus , right next to the road , we spotted a rabbit !!! Really nice ,cute ,brown rabbit :D , for real . And then there was another one :) , that was cute , they weren't afraid or anything , of course when we tried to get closer they run away , but that was fun ... Deb said she had actually seen some signs around the campus that says : there are rabbits living here :) ... Of course they are not living on the campus ,but there is something like a small reservoir , like a forest , so they probably are living there :D ... Ou and when we went further there was another bunny right next to the basketball pitch :).
I don't know how Brits do it , but they have managed to keep the nature quite unharmed here . Like, there are a lot of birds around here , singing beautifully , and there are obviously rabbits , and a lot of squirrels - I suppose that means something , like that the air is kinda clean , and there aren't too much dangerous waste in the forests and no like garbage laying around . Cheers to that !

22.09.11 -Registration Day
Hello once again!
Today(ok ,ok , yesterday :D ) was registration day. We had to register , to become official members of University of Hertfordshire . Ye thats sounds ok , but the part that wasnt ok , was that the registration started at 10 , and i woke up at about 9:30 , so I had a shower and ... nothing else :D , and went to the LRC( huge Learning Resource Center ,were the redistration took place) , anyway , my first mistake , today was that I didnt get anything to eat before I went there ... I knew that the registration probabbly is going to take some time, but I had no Idea that its gonna be that tiring , to say the least. The were huge queues , and I spend there about 2h just standind in a line , with my empty stomach making creepy sounds :D , and hunger just killing me ... :( ... After 2h , I finally got what I had came for, :
My ID card , yee ... But it cost me a lot :D , after that my head hurt , cuz of all the standind and hunger and , it was hot inside and no air - just crappy... :(
After that though I went to my kitchen and made something to eat , some canned food :) , there was only one can that I could open though :D , for the rest I need the can opener ,,that I don't have ...
Right after that I had to rush to get to School of Creative Arts welcome talk... That was not fun at all :( , My head still hurt and I didn't feel well. They told the same *** that everyone has been saying in those other talks :D . Anyway we were about 100 international students there . They said that 100 is a lot , but I know that in my program there must be 60 people ?!?! So I guess there will probably be 58 British people in my program :D . Cuz most of those international students were in fashion , digital arts , music , fine art , and stuff like that :D . Of course no need to say that I was the only Latvian there :D ,but there were more people that were the only ones from their country .
So after that we had a tour around our creative school facilities .. That could be interesting , if only IO hadnt seen all that when I was here on open days :( , still there were some new places I saw , and it was much cleaner now than back In June :D ..
Anyway , after that I was exchausted and tired , but when I came back I saw that there were people gathering at the football field , probabbly to play :D . And of course my love to football is to big to just pass by. I decided I gonna go to the gallerie and buy shoes and shorts so I can join them :)
Before that I managed to put my dirty clothes in washing machine :D , I didnt have any powder, so I just found the machine , which had the most powder leftovers :D , anyway , I pressed some buttons , and it jsut beeped , said locked and started to wash ? ok , who cares :D .. just make them clean ,I said to it :D
So I rushed to the Galeria , and bought all the stuff I needed, I have to admit , that here it was like 30% cheaper than back at home...
Ok so I went back , got ready for playing , and went to the field ,looking very professional and ready to play :D ... luckily some one wanted to leave so I took his place...
I made two rezultatīvas piespēles :D (passes ?) , and I was fast so I thought I made a good first impression :) ye. Anyway they stopped playing after some 30 minutes , cut they had been playing all the time , while I was at the shop ... Anyway it was a good to remind my body how to play :D

So after that as I found out it was already almost 7 , so I had already missed the start of the Movie night :( . And I prommised to Cari and Jamie , that I am going to be there :( , thats wasnt properly done ... I changed back to my normal outfit :D ,and went to the movie night ...
Damit , I really have to go now ... Todays a sports day , so you know what that means - I HAVE TO BE THERE :D ...so I guess this report on yesterday and the story after the movie night is :

Ok , I just found out ,that there are actually some people from here that are reading my blog.. :O well that puts a pressure on me :D , now I have to start think about what I am writing , cuz they might be reading :) ...

Ye I already posted some pictures about today's day . I made my first meal :D ( here , not like in my life ) ... I had the speech number 3 this morning at 9 o clock , damn , that's early , I went to bad really late , cuz of the really long post yesterday :D , I were writing for almost an hour , I don't know when you write ,the time just flows by :( ...
Ok Anyway , so ye after the speech I ate ... then I finally decided to risk and download the newest tv episode of Breaking Bad... I don't really know if it was risky , bet a lot of people back in home , said that it is really dangerous to download stuff , here cuz it illegal , and they really do catch you . And someone I thing Mr.G , told me that they find you and cut off your Uni internet off... so I was really scared of that . BUT still I cant live without the shows :D , so I went for it and downloaded it like in 10 minutes. .. All quiet , nobody ,is coming for me yet :N ... So I like wait and stuff, and then's there like all kind of weird sounds outside my room in the hallway , and I am like freaked out :O , I mean O my God ,they really are coming for me ?!?!? So I lock the door and wait :D ...
(some of this may be a bit exaggerated :D )
After some time , that I have spent standing at the door and listening , I finally realized that the sounds are just some , British Ladies cleaning our kitchen :) ... Ye laugh as much as you can now :D :D :D .... After that everything was silent .. And I took the great pleasure in watching the episode... just for the record, this episode was actually really good ( the previous ones was a bit boring) ...
Anyway after well spent 50 minutes it was time to get to the bus , to the trip to St.Albans..
They had several buses taking us there , and the people were divided my their color of their ticket . i got yellow one , but sadly the Americans had blue one , so we couldn't go together.
So when I got into the queue , I made friend with two guys named Tom from Slovakia doing Visual effects yeee , someone from the same school :) , and a guy from Sir Lanka , who said that we should call him Rocky :) , ye that's right , so I remember that, and he is going to study Music & Technologies , yee another Creative arts guy ... they both are here for Bachelors , so I gonna see those guys around :)
Anyway , we spend the whole trip together , and that was a nice walk around the city and a nice talk , about music , about phones , cars , and stuff like that :) .. the Guy from Sir Lanka ( Rocky) was pretty much speaking about , how the women here are beautiful ( not only British girls but from all type of nationalities) that was funny :D.
So I think I gonna do another report on stuff like architecture and buildings some time later, when I gonna combine all the most beautiful pictures. So now I just gonna say that the St.Albans Abbey WAS AMAZINGLY STUNNING , like , hands down , to the people that built it , the details , the craftsmanship , man , I was just touched ,and owed ,I am always like that when I am around something that humans have made , and when its that beautiful,or just that detailed, bold ,strong , and huge , but also felling light inside- it wasn't gloomy ,dark or depressing at all ..I cant even imagine how people can build and make something like this

Ok , so I stayed at the Church for quite some time , cuz I wanted to explore every little corner of it , because there were so many crazy things hidden behind the next corner, like some huge painting or smth.... So I actually was the last person leaving the Abbey :)... so that made me quite worried , because I had lost everybody else , and I didn't have any Idea were to go next ... Luckily ,though , the guys Tom and Rocky were just waiting for me outside , yee again ... So we continued to walk further and we got to the lake , that was amazing... Ok I get it , too much amazing things :D , but that's just true. Definitely come visit the city if you happen to be at England. It is one of the oldest towns in all of the UK ( at least that's what the guides told us (as far as I know , non of them is a History major ) :D )
So anyway , I knew that there is an Warhammer - Games Workshop (for those who have no Idea whats that , just google it :D , I cant explain everything ..OR if u want to see how I am connected with it visit http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/gallery-search.jsp?u=35859 .) , somewhere around St.Albans, so I wanted to find it. And we did . It was a nice shop , and the sales person was really nice ,he gave me his name and we had a nice chat about the gaming custom-(s ?) down there . And asked about Games day & Golden Demon 2011, and tickets , and he said that they actually still have 2 tickets left. So maybe if I am gonna be free at Sunday I gonna go , If I find someone to go with :( , don't wanna go there alone ...
Anyway , of course I didn't buy anything ,YET , because first you have to know where everything is , and then you can go home make a list of things you really need , and just come back and purchase them ... otherwise I gonna just spend too much money :D..
So after that we went into like a mobile and internet store. And I was just asking the seller about the broadbands and stuff, and he like explained everything and asked about my country and myself .. Ok that's good , but when I told I gonna take the product , he just wondered off ?!?!?!? what? , I don't know just you know , maybe he was waiting for the other seller or something , dunno , but as he didn't have any interest left in me , I just walked away( that's better anyway , the broadband plan was too expensive)
Man, this is going to take too much time :D ,I am only in the middle of the day , and the best was at the evening :D
Anyway fast forward , so I found tool-shop and bought some of the tools I gonna need in my course , like hammer and stuff :D
Bought some more food ( bread , corns ! , :) , muffins ( I like the muffins they make here) ) ye and then we basically went home :)
After that I was kinda tired , of the walking and carrying the bags, so I just took a nap... then I talked to my father and mother and friends in skype ,and then It was time to go to the barn dance , iiiiihaaaaaaaaa !
So I took my suit shoes , cuz they look a bit like cowboy boots :D , and they had like hard solid heel ( i was hoping to make a lot of sound with them ,like you would if you had the boots.. I took my chequered shirt , so I looked almost like a real cowboy , I missed only the hat ( ye , well , I guess ,that's a big thing to miss :D ,for a cowboy) ...
Anyway , I went out and tried to find the location , but couldn't find it , and I didn't have my map , so I was kind sad , that I gonna miss it , but then I experienced how my brain works :D,
So this is going to be a magnificent story about how something can lead to something else , that leads to another thing ,that leads to the solution! ! ! !
Sot they(the brains) started to figure things out like this:
First I remembered what was written on the time-table under the bold Barn dance letters, the part circled red ... Just a reminder so I didn't had the time table with me either , I just used my photo memory of it . Of course I am no super human , so the only part I remembered clearly was the thing that was circled blue ( and CL -for college lane)
So I had those two words in my mind ,and I was lie repeating it ( the word Venue) and ....
by the way , there were no people outside , it was dark , and no one to just ask this , so ye I was alone with my mind :D..
You see the thing is that I didn't know what the word VENUE means :D , truth be told , I dont even know that now :)
However somehow , somewhere in my mind I thought that the Venue must have to be doing something with big halls and rooms ... So the first thing to cam to my mind was the Forum ( the big huge house , that has all the clubs and pubs inside it .) And something told be that halls were named venues , well so I had a strong feeling that I gonna find my answer there ( in the Forum ) so I went there , trough the mud , over the hills , under the roads , and deep into the darkness, with cold wind bowing in my face....
Obviously when I finally saw the forum I thought I was victorious ! I have found the Barn , ye but that sounded to good and easy to be true... So what happened instead , was that on the door of the entrance of the Forum , I spotted a paper poster , saying Barn Dance . Yipee again , I am at the right place ... ye really?!?! no , there were small letters under the big bold Barn Dance , that said : moved to the De Havilland campus :( :( :( :( :( :( : ( :(
:D , ok so the story has come to an end now , my brain made me go somewhere were I thought I was meant to be , and they were right( the brains or memory cells or whatever :D ) , that's just not their fault that the event had been moved :) right ?
Ok so I am going to stop here .. I hope I remember everything tomorrow, but its just too late now , and I cant keep my eyes open :( ... Plus I hope to get some pictures to really show , what happened at the Barn dance ... Ye after I found out that its moved , I knew were to go( just around the corner to the bus station) however the bus didn't come for almost 30 minutes , and then one of the guides persuaded :D , one of the bus drivers from other bus to take us all ( there were quite a number of people going to the event) to the other Campus. YEY
OK, so while I we waited the bus , I met Deb and she introduced me to two other people named ( I hope I spell it right) Jacklin(?).... she was from USA , Florida , and shes here for History (studies) that's cool , I like history ,a lot :) , and the other guys name was , don't know exactly , but I remember it sounded something like Cereal (:D) , ye sorry , he was from France, and he is doing aerospace also :) (Deb is doing aerospace engineering as well ) ..
So there you go , I had a new pack of people :D .... There were Nathan also , the guy from USA, Texas, he had like cowboy hat and nice looking shirt , so he was fully cowboy equipped :) (except for boots , but who cares about boots when u have HAT ) .. Actually there were many more people that I knew , the girl from Bulgaria ( Sonia- shes like at the every event- very active person :) ) , and of course a lot of Indian guys and Sir Lanka guys from the games night :)
ok , so we went to the barn dance finally ,and ye basically danced and stuff :D ..
They weren't like the line dances ,that I thought they gonna be , but it still was fun (because of the company) , the music was like the same all the time :D . So the band leading man , was just shouting like , instructions of how to move and what to do . basically we stood at a circle and did different hops and turns ,and spins :D , and the same for almost 5-10 minutes 2 h long :D ... that was actually quite exhausting , but fun ,nevertheless ... Of course I met a lot of other people that I had met before - so I strengthened my knowledge of their name :D .... So it was fun , fun to dance , and fun to watch others dance :D ..
I hope I gonna get some pictures from Deb or the other girl , so I can post them here as well.
So look , seems that I have managed to write everything ( ok almost ,there's still the way back and stuff :D , but I cant like write all my life down ,can I ? :D)

I took my chequered shirt , so I looked almost like a real cowboy , I missed only the hat ( ye , well , I guess ,that's a big thing to miss :D ,for a cowboy) ...
Anyway , I went out and tried to find the location , but couldn't find it , and I didn't have my map , so I was kind sad , that I gonna miss it , but then I experienced how my brain works :D,
So this is going to be a magnificent story about how something can lead to something else , that leads to another thing ,that leads to the solution! ! ! !
Sot they(the brains) started to figure things out like this:
So I had those two words in my mind ,and I was lie repeating it ( the word Venue) and ....
by the way , there were no people outside , it was dark , and no one to just ask this , so ye I was alone with my mind :D..
You see the thing is that I didn't know what the word VENUE means :D , truth be told , I dont even know that now :)
However somehow , somewhere in my mind I thought that the Venue must have to be doing something with big halls and rooms ... So the first thing to cam to my mind was the Forum ( the big huge house , that has all the clubs and pubs inside it .) And something told be that halls were named venues , well so I had a strong feeling that I gonna find my answer there ( in the Forum ) so I went there , trough the mud , over the hills , under the roads , and deep into the darkness, with cold wind bowing in my face....
Obviously when I finally saw the forum I thought I was victorious ! I have found the Barn , ye but that sounded to good and easy to be true... So what happened instead , was that on the door of the entrance of the Forum , I spotted a paper poster , saying Barn Dance . Yipee again , I am at the right place ... ye really?!?! no , there were small letters under the big bold Barn Dance , that said : moved to the De Havilland campus :( :( :( :( :( :( : ( :(
:D , ok so the story has come to an end now , my brain made me go somewhere were I thought I was meant to be , and they were right( the brains or memory cells or whatever :D ) , that's just not their fault that the event had been moved :) right ?
Ok so I am going to stop here .. I hope I remember everything tomorrow, but its just too late now , and I cant keep my eyes open :( ... Plus I hope to get some pictures to really show , what happened at the Barn dance ... Ye after I found out that its moved , I knew were to go( just around the corner to the bus station) however the bus didn't come for almost 30 minutes , and then one of the guides persuaded :D , one of the bus drivers from other bus to take us all ( there were quite a number of people going to the event) to the other Campus. YEY
OK, so while I we waited the bus , I met Deb and she introduced me to two other people named ( I hope I spell it right) Jacklin(?).... she was from USA , Florida , and shes here for History (studies) that's cool , I like history ,a lot :) , and the other guys name was , don't know exactly , but I remember it sounded something like Cereal (:D) , ye sorry , he was from France, and he is doing aerospace also :) (Deb is doing aerospace engineering as well ) ..
So there you go , I had a new pack of people :D .... There were Nathan also , the guy from USA, Texas, he had like cowboy hat and nice looking shirt , so he was fully cowboy equipped :) (except for boots , but who cares about boots when u have HAT ) .. Actually there were many more people that I knew , the girl from Bulgaria ( Sonia- shes like at the every event- very active person :) ) , and of course a lot of Indian guys and Sir Lanka guys from the games night :)
ok , so we went to the barn dance finally ,and ye basically danced and stuff :D ..
They weren't like the line dances ,that I thought they gonna be , but it still was fun (because of the company) , the music was like the same all the time :D . So the band leading man , was just shouting like , instructions of how to move and what to do . basically we stood at a circle and did different hops and turns ,and spins :D , and the same for almost 5-10 minutes 2 h long :D ... that was actually quite exhausting , but fun ,nevertheless ... Of course I met a lot of other people that I had met before - so I strengthened my knowledge of their name :D .... So it was fun , fun to dance , and fun to watch others dance :D ..
I hope I gonna get some pictures from Deb or the other girl , so I can post them here as well.
So look , seems that I have managed to write everything ( ok almost ,there's still the way back and stuff :D , but I cant like write all my life down ,can I ? :D)

I guess I gonna need to figure out a way to tell everything in a shorter version :D , pictures should be a help in that, they sometimes can say a lot more that written words ...( maybe :D)
